00 Hussein Tijani · aka Husayn · Kano, Nigeria

I figure out how things work, then build the useful thing.

I build websites, apps and AI tools, mostly for Nigerian businesses. By day I work at a bank in Kano.

  1. Mission 01 · BL-01Active

    One Ocean

    Objective

An online marketplace for Nigeria where anyone can buy and verified sellers can sell, from phones to cooked meals.

    Briefing

Buying online in Nigeria often means paying a stranger and hoping. One Ocean holds the money safely until the buyer confirms delivery.

    Objectives cleared6/9

One Ocean home page on a phone: the headline “Buy and Sell Anything in Nigeria”, a product search bar with escrow, smart search and nationwide badges, and a grid of category cards.

  2. Mission 02 · BL-02Active

    Form M Copilot

    Objective

An AI tool that checks import documents for mistakes before they reach the bank. Take photos of your documents and it spots errors and drafts the form for you.

    Briefing

I handle Form M (the paperwork Nigerian importers file with their bank) in my day job. I see how small document mistakes cause delays.

Form M Copilot on a phone: the headline “Catch Form M errors before the bank does”, an upload area for document photos, and buttons to check documents, upload photos, try the WhatsApp bot or try sample files.

    Prediction-Market Bot

    Objective

A practice trading bot that tests whether betting-market prices react late to crypto price moves. It uses pretend money only.

    Briefing

If one price moves and another follows a moment later, there may be a gap to catch. The bot checks that safely before any real money is involved.

  4. Mission 04 · BL-04Planning

    Onchain Trading Bot

    Objective

A planned trading experiment that combines blockchain data with chart analysis, with strict safety limits.

    Briefing

I want to learn whether blockchain activity really helps predict prices, and to build trading tools with discipline.

  5. Mission 05 · BL-05Active

    KudiDesk

    Objective

A hackathon project using AI and PayPal to help small African businesses get paid with less paperwork.

    Briefing

Small business owners spend too much time chasing and recording payments.

    Gusto Nigeria

    Objective

A full website for a restaurant in Kano and Abuja, with table booking, online payment and a menu you can browse.

    Briefing

I built it before pitching, so the restaurant could see the finished result.

    Emperor Oni’panu N More

    Objective

A website for a Nigerian food shop. Customers fill a cart and send their order on WhatsApp, and a chat assistant answers questions.

    Briefing

The shop already sells on WhatsApp, so the website builds on that.

Zone 02Loadout

Pick a loadout.

I don't switch between these roles. I combine them. A marketplace needs payment rules a banker would recognise. A trading bot needs the discipline of a lab. An AI tool needs someone who knows the paperwork it's replacing.

How I use it

My main craft. I design and build the screens myself, from layout and states to the small details, and I treat a production build as the real test.

Zone 03Arcade

Take a break. Outrun the market.

A one-button game based on my trading bot. Jump the red candles and grab the cyan ticks.

Paper mode · no real funds

Outrun the market.

Tap or press Space to jump (tap again to double-jump). Chain cyan ticks for combos, skim candles for close-call bonuses, grab green shields, and survive four market regimes.

Zone 04Story

How I got here.

From a chemistry lab to a bank to building software.

  1. Chapter 012018 – 2023

    The lab bench

B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry at Bayero University, Kano, graduating with a 3.98 CGPA. Measure first, and don't trust a result you can't repeat.

  2. Chapter 022024

    Safety systems

Safety officer during my NYSC year at African Circle Pollution Management Limited, carrying out 30+ safety inspections. Plan for the bad day.

  3. Chapter 032025

    Back in the lab

Laboratory scientist at African Circle, testing samples and keeping careful records.

  4. Chapter 04Sept 2025 – present

    The trade desk

Account officer at Guaranty Trust Bank, working with customers, loans and import paperwork. This is where I learned how money really moves.

  5. Chapter 052026

    The builder

Websites for food businesses, then One Ocean (an online marketplace), a practice trading bot, and two AI hackathons at once.
